1. Who we are
Spend It! · THE Abundance App is operated by Cynthia Preston ("we", "us"). We act as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account data: email address, password (hashed), and optional display name and avatar URL.
- App content: your daily spending entries, categories, tracker progress, and any content you submit via the Contact Us form (name, email, message).
- Support & feedback: messages you send us.
- Usage & telemetry: basic logs (IP address, browser, timestamps) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
- Cookies: essential cookies for authentication and session management (see §7).
Payment card details are collected and processed by Paddle — we never see or store them.
3. How we use your data
- Create and manage your account (legal basis: contract).
- Provide the service, store your entries, and sync across devices (contract).
- Respond to support requests and feedback (contract / legitimate interests).
- Protect the service against fraud and abuse (legitimate interests / legal obligation).
- Improve the product (legitimate interests).
- Send transactional emails such as account confirmation and, if enabled, gentle reminder nudges (contract / consent).
4. Who we share data with
- Service providers / subprocessors: hosting, database, authentication, email delivery, and error monitoring.
- Paddle.com Market Ltd. — our Merchant of Record — handles checkout, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and subscription/refund management.
- Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
- Authorities where required by law or to protect rights.
5. Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from the in-app Account page. Order and tax records held by Paddle are retained per Paddle's own policies and applicable law. Backups and logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted or anonymized.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. 7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in and to keep the app working. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Your browser lets you clear cookies at any time.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including where our hosting and payment providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
9. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
10. Changes
We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the app or by email where appropriate.
